My Students
We are a K-8 school with about 850 students enrolled. Almost all of our students receive free lunch. The teachers are highly dedicated to preparing our students to be not only college ready but ready to survive in the world. We strive to create a safe and reliable learning environment for our students.
The students at our academy crave consistency and learning.
Located in West Philadelphia many of our students deal with constant movement, unstable home settings and single parent homes. We as a school know that our families try to do their best for our students but both the parents and the students look to the school to help provide that consistency and stabilized environment they need. Knowing this we prides our self on the urgency to ensure that we have a positive community connection so that we can impact our students in a positive manner.
My Project
At our school students come to to seek a place with hope, safety, consistency, and organization.
With your help, I can create a space for my students that makes them feel right at home.
With flexible floor seats, students will have a choice to sit in a colorful comfortable seat as they read their favorite book or discuss in a book club during center time. All while using the book boxes you can help provide as well! Pocket chair buddies will help students easily access their morning workbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens and crayons and which leads to greater focus.
