We are a publicly funded Title I Magnet School that believes that students learn in a variety of ways. We place a special emphasis on educating through the arts. Our students are unique, creative, diverse, and motivated and come to school daily with an energy that is unmatchable despite challenging circumstances that they may face on a daily basis due to their economic and personal experiences. Our students crave participation in new and exciting opportunities that more fully connects them to the arts. The opportunity for our students to express themselves through creative means has been crucial for their personal, emotional, and social development and has enhanced their educational experience.
My Project
As any teacher knows, classroom organization and storage is paramount to running an efficient classroom with minimal disruptions. I incorporate a variety of learning methods that include the incorporation of writing, coloring, and creating manipulatives. I've ordered enough supplies for each student to have their own set of clipboards, coloring items, pencils, etc., however, I don't like wasting precious class time in handing out materials, which can make the students lose focus and motivation.
These sturdy seat sacks are an excellent solution to my storage needs.
With these items, I can keep all of the individual supplies directly in their seats sacks, which will make all items available to my students immediately. I had previously purchased less expensive seat sacks out of my own money, but I have found that they were very flimsy and most have already broken only a quarter of the way through the school year.
These sturdier seat sacks will definitely be an investment that will last me for years to come.
