My Students

I teach the sweetest 1st graders! They are all anxious to learn and enjoy working on activities in class. They are very motivated and love to try new things. They are a joy to work with and I love their hugs. They make me smile and laugh every day!

My class currently consists of 18 beautiful boys and girls!

The students range in their needs and abilities. We work hard in class to excel every day. Reading is extremely important in their learning because reading is the foundation of every subject I teach.

My Project

I love to teach my students life skills throughout the school year. One very important skill is organization. I want my students to be able to organize, clean up, and keep track of projects, and their work throughout the school day. And as you can imagine, we use a lot of paper!

Wasting time wastes instruction time which is why my students need a way to organize all their materials and work so it is easy for them to access.

We have been working hard on our organization skills. But sometimes we still end up with stacks of papers which look messy. Work gets lost easily and we can can end up wasting precious time looking and separating pieces to projects and papers. We desperately need a system to house our papers in an orderly way. That way, I am teaching my children organization skills, as well as getting in every moment of instruction time they need.
