An Opportunity to Help Build Good Habits, Character, and Discipline
Help me give my students at Founders the opportunity to be active and to exercise through soccer and basketball. Our school has little in regards to equipment so the soccer nets and balls will help be quite beneficial.
The number of students at Founders Academy in Manchester, NH continues to grow from year to year providing these with a continuously evolving curriculum both in and out of the classroom. Our students are open to challenges while working on a Humanities-based curriculum and in growing into the leaders of the present and the future. Beyond their success in the physical classroom, many of our students excel in athletics as well. As a school, we want to provide a well-rounded curriculum that will create successful individuals/citizens.

As a charter school entering its sixth year in existence, we are continuously growing in trying to offer our students a variety of courses that will challenge and meet their interests, from general education subjects to more specific electives. Our students are quite diverse and eager to learn.
My Project
The opportunity to participate in sports and exercise has the potential to help an individual develop good behaviors that can physically, emotionally and psychologically benefit themselves - good habits, confidence, character, and discipline.
Students who sit solely during the school day have no opportunity to release pent up energy and to simply revive themselves.
Athletics will give students the chance to excel.
The equipment requested will allow a small charter school to offer their students sports/activities to get them moving. The one field that we have available to us is often used for football or soccer - two high-interest activities here at Founders. The new materials will encourage their interests.
