Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Math to all 3rd and 4th grade bilingual students. To prepare my students to be successful on the state TAKS test, I use a variety of tools. One of these tools is a Software that the district has purchased called Acces that generates TAKS related math problems that I can then print and share with my students. These students would benefit more from this program if I could project the problems on a screen in front of the class, where I could model to the students how to make notations and eliminate extra information etc. Students would be able to show their way of working problems with ease in front of the class. In addition to that, I will have more flexibility as to which problems to share with the students on a certain day. If I see that a certain concept needs more re-enforcement, I could generate some more problems from the same objective and project it using the LCD. Without the LCD, I would have to wait till next day when I could print enough copies for all my classes. Your help is greatly appreciated and I am sure that my students will meet with greater success because of the help that you are lending us.
