My students are quirky and quick witted. They’re nerdy and sensitive. And, they’re my sweet little bunch. They are the gifted population at our K-5 elementary school in Tempe, Arizona. The students at our elementary school are from a variety of socioeconomic statuses. We are a Title I school, meaning many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
They are itching to innovate, create, and explore.
Please help me offer my students new, enriching experiences with iPads in our classroom.
My Project
We need two iPads to apply 21st century skills in the classroom. iPads will open new doors in our classroom. Most immediately, our students will be exploring science through making their own myth busters movie. iPads will allow students to record their own movies. Students will also be able to use the iPads in other ways, too.
iPads would allow our students new ways to create, innovate and collaborate.
With iPads in their hands, students will be able to research for their projects, explore new ways of organizing information, write code, record and make movies. Our school now has a green screen, and with iPads, our students will be able to make movies with ease.
