Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students attend a 100% free and reduced lunch district. My students have limited access to opportunities that expose them to new technologies and robotics education. My 3rd-5th grade gifted students will use this iPad to code their robots in our coding unit. iPads will guide my students to interact with Robots in order to code them to move and go where they want them to. They will be able to problem solve, plan out their codes, test their codes, and redesign their codes if they come into a problem.

Gifted is a project-based learning class.

This iPad will help us to prepare for the steam competition. The options are limitless. I will be able to use iPads to differentiate instruction for all learners. Technology makes our classroom more interactive and exciting for everyone. We truly believe that science and technology can inspire and motivate the next generation. I feel that this project will plant a small seed that will help grow future engineers. I love my student's ability to show their best work, try not to give up, and excitement to learn new things !
