Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn third graders who are wild about incorporating technology into their projects, assignments, and activities! They work hard daily and their enthusiasm for learning grows when they hear that technology will somehow be involved in their work! They have shown motivation, commitment, responsibility and PATIENCE when it is time to use the limited amount of technology and resources available in my classroom to complete assignments. They deserve the opportunity to extend and enrich their learning with more electronic devices for the classroom!
My Project
Technology has been an extraordinary addition to our classroom, but we have been very limited in our resources. I’ve selected an iPad to add to my classroom because it will allow my students to be more creative and tech savvy. These devices will help them create digital books through apps like Pages, iBooks Author, Book Creator and Storybird, photograph and record academic content to add to their digital journal with apps such as Seesaw and Flipgrid. They will present and share activities through creative and innovative means like Keynote, iMovie and GarageBand, and participate in online learning games and quizzes through apps like Kahoot! and Quizizz. My students are deserving of more creative ways to learn and apply without any restriction and lack of resources!
