This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are joyful and love to learn. They see each day as an opportunity to learn and grow. From the city of Boston, these scholars come from all different types of homes. Your support would allow for a more accessible classroom with resources to foster their love of learning. As a first year teacher, I am eager to provide my students with all the tools and resources to keep their learning joyful and their days filled with achademic challenge.

My Project

First grade is an exciting year, it is a time when students learn what school and learning is all about. As a first year teacher in the city of Boston, I am designing my classroom to foster a growth mindset for my first graders. For this project, I am hoping to equipt our classroom library with furniture to create an inviting atmosphere. It is essential that students learn to love reading, so they must be provided with the necessary resources to explore pleasure reading. With these chairs, scholars can get comfortable with their favorite book or explore new genres while being excited about reading. Thank you for your support!
