My Students

I teach in a school district that offers free breakfast and lunch to all of our students because of the high levels of poverty. Some of the kids have difficulty gaining access to basic items, such as clothing and school supplies. We have an incredible system in place to support our students as much as possible, but these kids are having difficulties their basic needs, let alone paying attention virtually.

My Project

Using the Nearpod software, not only will my students be able to be more interactive with each and every lesson, they will have the opportunity to share their own creative ideas.

When we return to in-class instruction I will be able to use the iPad to move around the class and give immediate feedback to students.

While we are virtual with a monitor attached to my current Laptop, I would be able to assist students, by seeing not only the interactive lesson but their responses as well. In both virtual and in-person feedback is crucial to confirming conceptual understanding.
