My Students

Middle school is a time for students to develop their identities, both scholastically and socially. These days, identities are no longer just about the person we physically present to the world, but they are also determined by our digital footprint. Technology is an important tool to help students along the path of self-discovery. It is so important for educators to teach students not just how to achieve academically but how to be upstanding citizens on and off their devices.

My students need access to technology in the classroom to make sure they are not left out of the digital conversation!

My Project

We are going 1 to 1 this year for the first time at our school with Chromebooks. This is amazing, but this age group (seventh and eighth graders) can be forgetful! I want to encourage my students to be responsible, but I also want to have a back up plan.

Having an extra Chromebook and charger in class will help waste less time sending students down to the library to borrow an extra.

By donating to our project, you will help to make sure that my students spend as much time in class as possible, without wasting precious instructional minutes.
