Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The KA Broncos are a special group of students. They are motivated, talented and really want to go to college.

We work with them from 7th through 12th grade to make sure they have all the tools and resources necessary to reach that goal.

From our A.P. and dual credit offerings to our College Lab that is open daily from 8am-6pm, we work to ensure they have as few barriers to their dreams as possible. This year, the senior class is more excited than ever to go to college. They're on track to exceed $40 million in scholarship dollars!

My Project

We like to do things BIG at our school. Our students really hustle to apply to college and earn scholarships, so we like to celebrate them with everything we've got.

We want this year's Decision Day to one they won't soon forget.

They're going to come with pride for their new schools; we want to shower them with gifts to celebrate their success.

On decision day, we're inviting the entire senior class and their parents to share in the excitement of students announcing their post-secondary plans, and will have food, candy and gift-cards to give out the entire event.

We're also going to ask the band to participate. This will be quite the celebration.
