My students need: an electric guitar with a case and a stand, microphone stands, a keyboard stand and a drum throne.

I am in charge of a school band in a public PK-8 school. We started about seven years ago with almost no equipment at all and quickly gained popularity. I believe that all of us have some talents, not all of us have an opportunity to discover them. I would like to provide this opportunity.
The line-up of the band keeps changing, as the children graduate, and new members arrive, and the band keeps growing strong.
We already performed twice at the Baltimore Annual Youth Expo. And, of course, almost no ceremony is held at school without the band performance. This school year we started with one of our old-timers - our bass player and seven newcomers: three guitarists, a piano player, a vocalist, and two percussionists. They are very excited! It's amazing how much some of them grown as a musician. I just jammed with the bass player and he decided to play drums, and boy he did really play! It is really rewarding to see them grow and set positive examples for their peers.
Unfortunately the school doesn't have money for musical instruments. Fortunately there are other sources that support programs like ours. Donors Choose helped us tremendously twice: our projects to get a bass amplifier and a new PA system got funded. All of this made a big difference! It is not just for the band members, it is for the whole school! Music is one of the best tools educators can use to shape young minds. Our school band has proved to be a very important asset to the whole school climate. Music is discipline in a form of a very friendly way of non-forcing understanding of self control. Through the years I've witnessed radical changes in the students' behavior because of music appreciation. As we learn the musical compositions, students acquire very important skills, like team work, follow through with task assigned, as well as setting positive role models for the other children, who think it's just so "cool to be in a band."
Now, as we started expanding, we need more instruments.
We need an electric guitar. Some of our equipment is old and has started falling apart, or of low quality. We need new microphone stands. We need a keyboard stand, using a desk instead of real stand makes it quite tricky to play the stage piano. We also need a new drum throne; the one that came with our drum set just doesn't work. Helping the band, you will help the whole school!
