This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

If we want to see change in our world, we must be a part this change. This project is a great opportunity for you to help create this change, one student at a time.

My students are all from socially and economically impoverished families.

They are all eligible for free lunch. Their parents are all immigrants with very little schooling. My students are the marginalized, those who are not given a fair chance because of where they come from. I believe if we want change in this world, it begins with one child at a time and I believe that it does take a village to raise a child. I need your help.

My Project

This instructional easel is a basic part of any well-equipped elementary classroom. It will allow my students to participate daily in our Writer's Workshop mini-lessons on the rug, among many other things. An instructional easel is important in this kind of lesson because it allows the students to sit close to the teacher and watch as I model the writing or other skill that they are learning.

Our District is imploding!

The powers that be have been making severe budget cuts while they give themselves enormous raises. Teachers salaries were frozen for two consecutive years yet our benefits have all gone up. There is no where to turn to except the good people of DonorsChoose. Many Blessing to all!
