Mrs. Cerempei from Gulfport MS is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

An Ear-resistable Approach to Building Reading and Thinking Skills

My students need The Magic Tree House books because they are fun to read. The Dick and Jane books are great for students who are learning to read.

My Students

As a teacher in Title I school, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many hardships they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with imaginative and meaningful learning experiences. They want to be in school because they want to learn and become successful.

My students are full of life, enjoy hands-on activities, and are always eager to learn.

Most of the students don't have much, but they come to school eager to learn every single day. Every day my students come into my room full of life, ready to learn, and excited about what they will be learning. From the moment they enter my room, I focus on the potential growth of my students. I want to make the learning in my classroom very hands-on and interactive for all of my students. I feel that they are at their best when learning is hands-on and the information will stick with them. My goal for all of my students is to inspire them to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy the independent reading time.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
