My students need headphones in order to participate in online applications for them to read and practice their math skills. These headphones will allow each student to practice the materials they know using technology.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students: there are 22 students in my class this year. The class is a diverse group of students who come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. My students have a passion for learning, discovering new ways of learning, and are deeply curious about the world around them. Each student strives for success in and out of the classroom. My students are also technology lovers, with a great background in computer skills.
My school is a small urban school in Massachusetts.
Every student at my school receives free breakfast and lunch. My school has a strong school community where students feel respected, accepted, encouraged to be their best possible selves. At my school, we strive to help each student reach proficiency or advancement in English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. As we strive for success, we aim to bring our students the tools necessary to reach current goals and beyond!
My Project
The use of these headphones is a daily activity in my classroom. My students need to build on their technology skills to keep up with the use of technology in our daily lives. Students are exposed to different applications to support their learning within all subjects, especially reading.
The donations will help improve my classroom by allowing my students to listen to specific instruction on their computers to help support their needs.
Without headphones, students won't be able to hear the instruction that will help them with the material.
Also, I have an ESL student and many struggling students, so they will be able to learn new vocabulary and listen to good interpretive reading on their applications. Listening to books teaches critical listening skills, introduces new genres, and invites students to listen to books above their level. For math, students will receive instruction on the level they are at.
