An Author's Visit Experience for Children With Autism

I need your support with creating a series of author's visit for very special children.

My Students

I work with a variety of students. This project is designed to create an author experience for children with autism. I recently wrote a children's book that supports the parents of children with autism. The author's visit would include each student receiving a signed copy of the book. A reading of the book. There are two pages for the student to draw pictures. The students would also wrap the book as a present. The students would also enjoy a customized snack. The students would take the wrapped book home as a gift to their parents. This is a wonderful experience for children that are often marginalized.

My Project

Funding this project would allow a special experience for children with autism. This author's visit will spread joy to children, teachers and parents. Children will receive a signed copy of the book. Art supplies will be used for students to create a drawing. Wrapping paper will be provided for the students to present as gifts to their parents. Customized cover cookies and juice will be provided as a snack. Teachers will receive a copy of the book for their classroom. An author's visit is an unique experience for these students. It would be a very special day for very deserving students.
