I teach a class of 25 amazing second graders. They are loving, intelligent, kind, and funny. They come to school wanting to learn and become better citizens. As of now, our school is 100 percent distance learning.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many come from families at lower income levels.
Many come from challenging home environments and have limited resources at home. I also have English language learners and students with special needs such as autism, ADD, and ADHD. Many of my students do not have basic supplies to help them succeed. The one thing they all have in common is that they are eager to learn.
My Project
How would you like to enhance the learning experience for my second grade students? An Apple TV will allow me to mirror my lessons to a big screen for my students to be able to see what I am showing them. I would be able to create slides on my computer and use the Apple TV to project them to a large screen or a big screen TV. This would be useful during distance learning and also when we return to the classroom. My students would also be able to project their Chromebooks via Apple TV using Airplay when we are back at school.
An Apple TV would allow me to create an interactive learning experience during my lessons and also increase student engagement.
The amazing thing about an Apple TV is that my students and I would have the freedom to mirror from anywhere in the classroom. It would all be done wirelessly. This technology is critical for teaching in the digital age. Thank you for your support!
