Help me give my students some variety of color for projects, as well as the ability for me to create more online content for my students by having a iPad that is mobile for myself, and my students.

My Students

Hello, I want to introduce you to some of the most talented and creative students in the State of Utah. My students are 7th and 8th grade which is the sweet spot for education. These students are full of life and vigor. They are old enough to begin higher reasoning on Piaget's Cognitive scale, but still have no fear of what the world holds for them!

Children are the worlds most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.

Students at this title I school are not unlike students all across the country who have been highly impacted by COVID. As we have all tried to navigate what school might look like in the future, many teachers and students have discovered that it will require some at home learning. The students who I have seen most adversely impacted by at home learning are those who are already at the most risk. There are so many apps available for these students as well as mechanisms available to record class so students can keep up while at home! I look forward to adding some additional tech to my class to help these beautiful and bright students!!

My Project

Education is increasingly becoming a combination of at home and in person learning. I have a number of students that were gone because their families went to visit back home in another country for a period of time. Students miss time for illness and some are even tasked with taking care of siblings at home if their folks are gone. For me as a teacher, I could benefit having a mobile device that I can scan and upload documents, record class instruction, and have students utilize apps that allow them to have text read to them, or they can read text and it will put it on paper for them. Students

This donation of an iPad will allow students to have one more tool in their belts in the ongoing pursuit of education.

Students will be able to access apps that can facilitate learning in ways that traditional education are failing at. The iPad will be a start in my journey to make most of my content available online, so students can engage at all times of day. This technology will enhance attendance by allowing students to keep up to date on what we are doing in class.
