Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 25 eager learners who are always ready to learn new things. They enjoy using technology to explore the world of knowledge available on the internet. My students attend a Title I School which means they live in a high poverty neighborhood. They aspire to do and learn many new things when they are at school. They attend a low performing, inner city Title 1 School, in which 100% of the students qualify for the free lunch program. Regardless of those socioeconomic issues, they strive to access enriching learning experiences when they are at school. Each day they enter our school ready for a challenge and strive to do their best work.
My Project
In a time of digital testing my students need access to digital math resources, the Apple MacBook Pro will help them access these. So many wonderful calculations are possible when students can learn to represent multiplication on number lines digitally with their Mac Book Pro. Our classroom only has 1 dusty old Windows XP desktop computer which can no longer support my students' learning. Please help them catch up to the 21st Century Learning by helping our in-class computer access grow by one. The students will practice and sharpen their basic math facts online on a daily basis with a new Apple computer.
