Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an urban high school teacher from the city of Paterson.

Teaching remotely amid this pandemic has been extremely difficult for my students.

My students are mostly Latinos from different cultures and in dire need of educational resources.

ESL students deserve to have quality lessons they can benefit from to acquire their second language faster and later become competent future working citizens.

My Project

In class, I have exposed my students to various educational websites such as: Jamboard, Kahoot, Quiziz, Quizlet, EdPuzzle, Socrative, G-Suite extensions, and other online resources. I created a class website and a virtual classroom. However, I cannot always use them because my personal laptop is obsolete and outdated; causing it to shut down if more than one application is opened.

I am asking on behalf of my students and myself to help us by donating a new laptop , in order to effectively teach them and prepare them for college.

It is essential to spend my lessons teaching and not worrying about updating my page. My ESL students deserve to have quality lessons and instructional time, so they may acquire a second language.
