Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are humble and eager to learn! Most come from low socioeconomic status and do not have technology readily available for them to use at home. Our school population has 100% free lunch for our students. The area is low income and a vast amount of parents have little to no college education. Although you would be surprised to learn that this does not stop parents in supporting their children's learning. The parents are very dedicated as they know what the importance of their child's education will be to our future. We are helping mold the future of the community, and we want nothing but the best. Together as a community we are determined to create successful individuals for the future!
My Project
My students are digital natives and must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in learning. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students.
The Apple Pencil will foster their creativity as well as keep them engaged in the learning activity.
The Apple Pencil will enhance the use of educational apps such as SeeSaw and Flip Grid where the students can draw, record, and write on their activity. This is a digital way of doing something as simple as a graphic organizer or something as difficult as app smashing. I am committed to help my students cultivate their love of learning through technology.
