Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at one of the most diverse schools in the country with over 70 countries represented each year. It is amazing to see students from all parts of the world working and learning together. Despite their many differences, they are drawn together by their desire to learn.
My students are incredibly hard working and are eager to learn skills that will help them succeed.
Access to technology will help give all of my students a greater chance to learn from each other and about themselves.
My Project
An iPad can be a powerful tool in the classroom. Among other things, students will use the iPad to record their oral presentations in order to make deeper self-reflections, and to document their learning during the year so that they can track their growth. To help them better understand themselves and each other, they will take virtual field trips that will connect them to people and places across the world.
An iPad and case in the classroom will help students gain skills necessary for success in an ever-changing, interconnected world.
There are endless possibilities for engaging students in their learning using an iPad.
