This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are amazing and eager to learn. In our classroom, we have a variety of learners. Some are learning letter names and sounds. Others are learning how to blend letters and read simple words. And a few are reading first and second-grade level books.

My students are diverse eager learners.

As their teacher, I always try to utilize various instructional methods in order to make learning not only fun, but developmentally appropriate. Utilizing technology in the classroom allows me to help meet my students' individual needs.

My Project

The mini iPad will allow my students to use interactive programs and lessons. My students will have access to reading readiness and writing programs. They will be able to interact with words, work on handwriting skills, play phonics games, and read interactive stories.

In addition to working on reading skills, my students will be able to complete STEAM activities and research classroom topics.

Having various iPads, will allow my students work in small groups research topics such as pumpkins, spiders, gravity, and matter. Technology is an important key in STEAM activities.

The mini iPad will be an essential tool in my classroom. I am excited to be able to provide this to my students.
