My Students

Meet my fifth graders! These students are bright, creative, hardworking, and have a passion for learning. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and families, but they all share a passion for the arts. Despite what is going on in their home lives, they are all given an opportunity to become artists, innovators, designers, and creators.

My students are always engaged because the arts are integrated into the curriculum at our school.

Students spend the day learning in all subject areas and in specialty art rotations of their choice such as visual arts, performing arts and music.

My Project

During this unprecedented time, my students are not only missing out on daily instruction, they are missing out on art. Because my school specializes in art education, my students don't get the art lessons I've prepared for them due to school closures. I create art videos for my students but my 7 year old laptop makes this very difficult.

A new laptop will allow me to make high quality art instructional videos more quickly.

Not only would I be able to create videos for students in my class but for all students at my school.

This is a difficult time for my students and being able to still participate in my art lessons would be very beneficial. Having access to a new computer would also allow me to create online lessons for my class.
