An Apple (Computer) - for Students and the Teacher

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students and I would like to have an Apple laptop in our classroom. The MacBook would be used by both students and teacher. Students will use the MacBook daily to review lessons in reading, math, science, etc. I will use the MacBook in the evening to create worksheets and activities.
My students are all English language learners.
Almost every child speaks Spanish at home with their families. I also have two students new to the US. One is from Mongolia and the other is from Thailand. These two didn't speak any English prior to being in my class. All the children are motivated to learn and to be prepared to move onto the next grade. Our school is located in the heart of Los Angeles. Most of the students at our school are from low income families. Our school has been struggling financially with the budget cuts throughout our state and nationwide. My hope is to create the best classroom environment that allows each student to learn at his or her own pace.
My Project
I would like a laptop computer rather than a desktop so that the laptop can be moved around the room, depending on what it is used for. Our school has already purchased two extremely effective computer learning programs - one for reading and one for math. Unfortunately, our class is only allowed 45 minutes in the computer lab each week. In our classroom, there are only two working desktop computers for 24 students. Having a laptop computer in the classroom will enable each student to have more computer time to utilize our existing computer learning programs. Everyone will be able to maximize time efficiently with this new laptop. The students will also be able to enjoy an end of the year slideshow which can be created easily on this new computer.
I am excited about this proposal because the students will be able to use the Apple laptop MacBook immediately.
This computer will be used daily and will benefit many children for years to come. My students are very loving and show much appreciation for the little and big things. Your donation will surely encourage them and motivate my students to continue to strive to be successful in the classroom as well as in life. Thank you for your support and generosity.
