This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach the most inquisitive, excited, motivated, and the most destined for success set of kindergarteners in an underprivileged Title 1 school. My students love to compete with each other in reaching their academic goals in Reading and Math for school-based programs. My students come from low income homes, with hard working parents that struggle to find time to spend with them at home.
My students are excited about learning to read and doing their school-based Reading and Math programs on iPads.
I love to see my students engaged in their learning. It gives me great satisfaction when I see them motivated and excited to gain new knowledge.
My Project
Having iPads in the classroom will help my students to reach their weekly academic school-based program goals. With the limited technologies in the classroom, it becomes challenging for the students to achieve their weekly goals.
My students come from low income homes that cannot afford internet service to achieve their weekly computer goals.
Therefore, having these extra iPads will create a more engaging environment. It is also an effective way to connect students with different learning styles, improve collaboration, and better prepare students for the future. In addition, having additional iPads in the classroom creates a more fun learning environment for students to thrive. iPads will help my students to learn at their own pace.
