My Students

My students from Memphis are Brave and Making History in our fantastic city. They are curious, open minded, and excited about learning! They LOVE tasks that are hands-on, inquisitive, engaging, and "techie." My students are fascinated with all things technology and as children of the 21st century, they are being prepared to fully embrace the world using a variety of tools.

Most of my students come from homes with little resources, but that doesn't stop them from being passionate about learning!

They desire to be engineers, doctors, scientists, and change-makers in our future world. I'm just a stepping stone for them to get where they want to be, and it is truly a joy to teach them!

My Project

The use of the Apple Pencil and iPad will be used to enhance math instruction for my students. Right now with COVID, my students are learning virtually. Math is almost impossible to teach without modeling examples.

Currently, I use Zoom as a platform for my virtual lessons, but the annotation tools on Zoom are not clear.

It is very hard to write clearly, so my students are having a tougher time understanding the math content. I want to be able to use the iPad and Apple Pencil to design notes for my students, so they can master content easily. The Apple Pencil and iPad will sync to my computer and my students will be able to see all of my examples clearly. Plus, I can save all examples and notes to review with my students as needed.
