I have 22 amazing second grade students who come to school every day ready to learn, explore and figure out new and exciting things.
My students are: eager, enthusiastic, questioning, full of wonder, bundles of energy, creative, diverse/different/unique and WONDERFUL!
They want to use all the resources available to find the answers to the questions of the world. They want to interact with the wide world that is available right outside their door.
My Project
Not all students have access to technology outside of school. They crave any opportunity to utilize it at school. Digital learning is the new go-to resource for our students. Students could use the included resources like ibook author to make multi touch books, shoot and edit their own videos, use visual journals,or record and edit audio materials. Students can tackle assignments in creative ways. There are countless free educational apps and free ebooks that we can use for academic enrichment, English language learners, exploring new ideas and content, remediation and free explore.
Everyone learns differently.
With an iPad I can customize the materials to fit my wide range of learners. There are endless opportunities to create hands-on, customizable learning experiences. I can reach more students with the apps/books that are available for any level or subject. The wide range of content across subjects and grade levels also makes it easy to tailor the iPad for students at a variety of learning levels. I can teach all my students the same lesson- in different ways.
