My students are fantastic! We are the largest district in the state of NH. My classroom is a very diverse community. Our elementary school is one out of fourteen in the district.
The students come from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Our school is a Title I school and over 65% of our school's population receive free or reduced price lunch. They enter class each day with a smile and are excited to learn new and interesting things.
Our diverse school community focuses on fostering leadership, supporting students in building social-emotional skills and providing a fun and comfortable learning environment.
We love our community and are constantly seeking ways to encourage our students to be leaders, learners and kind friends.
My Project
My classroom is in need of a new iPad to use during small group work. We can use this iPad to listen to stories that we don't have in the classroom. It will also allow children a variety of ways to learn and discover new educational games and activities.
Exposing children to more technology will help to support their developmental goals in pre-reading, phonics, math, fine motor growth, and shape recognition.
Exploring new apps can help students with their individual needs. Children will be able to use our new iPad and extend learning at the table during small group when we work on weekly phonics skills, math, preferred stories, and educational games at all different levels.
