Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is a blended community of bilingual students with different language levels in English and Spanish. They are from low income, and middle-class families, students with special needs and students who are TAG. Their experiences and personalities create a wonderful classroom community. They are thoughtful, kind, funny and creative human beings who work hard everyday, eager to learn and grow. They all learn in different ways, but they help each other out and always find ways to improve in every area.
My Project
In my bilingual classroom, Blue, Green and Purple are the identifying colors. Blue for English, Green for Spanish, and Purple for bilingual materials. My students love to read, yet our space is confined.
An update to the library organization will help each student feel confident in their search for their next adventure or inquisitive search.
Each student would more readily know where to find their specific books. Confidence helps a child grow in all areas.
In addition to the new organized library, the students would be able to use new book boxes to store their personal learning materials. I want the best for my students in every area.
