My classroom is an exciting environment where students are encouraged to learn in many different ways. Each student faces difficult hardships in their lives and upon arriving at school, it is my job to lessen their worries and provide a quality education. Many students live in poverty, single parent families, and parents who work two or more jobs, that cannot provide the parental guidance our young students need. With our state budget cuts, we are in great need to ensure that our students receive the best.
Providing my classroom with fun, engaging centers will increase my student's reading and math skills and their desire to learn!
Teaching the students that learning is fun and exciting is very rewarding to myself and provides confidence in each student. Incorporating hands-on centers will provide my students the opportunity to master life skills.
These fun chairs will allow my students the opportunity to read independently in a comfortable and fun place during center time and take them on an adventure to another world, when they get involved in a book. The carpet and chairs will provide a cozy reading nook in my classroom, encouraging students to pick up a book and read.
This will increase their enjoyment of reading and develop those crucial fluency skills.
Reading is a life skill that is very important to instill the adventures one can take by picking up a book. In elementary, any encouragement to make reading more fun and enjoyable for my students will increase their knowledge and build fluency that will carry over into other subjects. Help me create an environment in my classroom that will encourage students to love to read.
