My Students

The fifth grade scholars in my classroom are enthusiastic, diverse, and curious learners. They love morning meetings and are motivated by love and kindness. 97% of the scholars at our school in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the lives of students everywhere around the world. One huge barrier in the classroom family of my fifth graders is not being able to hear students when sharing during morning meeting, classroom discussions, or learning activities when scholars are sharing their thought processes, due to muffled voices while wearing required masks.

Access to the Qball would be a huge change in helping students hear one another and speak more frequently in the classroom.

This technology is both fun and impactful for all. Scholars are able to throw the ball to one another and speak into it to hear one another's thoughts and ideas, something that is absolutely necessary for the developing child.
