This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My seventh grade students are a diverse group of mathematicians who are eager to learn, collaborate and expand their tool belts of knowledge. Each student brings a unique set of skills, abilities and experiences. My students represent various cultures from around the world and speak multiple languages.

All of my students are creative individuals with unique skills.

Their differences complement each other during collaborative tasks. They are constantly working hard to expand their knowledge and determine who they are as individuals.

My Project

Having a new wireless microphone in our classroom will allow me to provide instruction that all students can hear. I will no longer need to strain my voice by trying to speak loud enough for all students to hear. My voice will transmit from anywhere in the classroom.

The Sapphire Microphone will enable all students to clearly hear instruction as if they were only a few feet away.

Students will be able to focus more on the instruction than on trying to hear my voice over the sound of 35 student voices. Students will also be able to use the microphone when they present to the class.
