My Students

I work at a large middle school whose band program is really growing! This is my first year at this school and the program is on the rebound from reduced funding from the previous 5 years.

Many pieces of equipment are in need of repair and/or replacement.

These items should be provided to the students by the band program. It will take time, money and grants to get this program fully operational again.

I work hard for the students, in the classroom and out, and they respond by working hard for me and the band program!

My Project

The jazz band at my school has really taken off this school year. I have several students who have started to learn bass and rhythm guitar for this group.

The jazz band needs an amplifier with 4 channels so that the bass guitarist, rhythm guitarist and keyboard player can all plug into the same amp.

Unfortunately, the group will not have an amplifier for the bass, rhythm guitar and keyboard to utilize. We had an amp to use during this school year, but it did not belong to our group. Consequently, the owner of the amp is retiring and has informed me that the group will not be able to use the amp in the upcoming school year.
