Ms. Jenkins from Dallas TX is requesting musical instruments through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need four guitar amps to use with their acoustic electric ukuleles. They only have one amp which is used with the tenor acoustic electric ukulele.

My students come into my music classroom once a week full of energy, excitement, and a passion for music. Unfortunately, they face many struggles in their attempt to achieve academically. Most are impoverished, raised by someone other than their parents, and reside in a dangerous community full of crime, gangs, drugs, and violence. Many don't have their most basic physical and emotional needs met.
The two free meals and one snack my students receive each day at school may be all they eat that day.
Many have parents who are incarcerated or addicted to drugs/alcohol or are mentally unable to provide for the needs of their child. However, many of them do succeed! I am so proud of each one when they reach and surpass their academic goals!
My marvelous mini musicians have made tremendous progress in their ukulele playing skills. I am so proud of my babies! We plan on having an end of the year ukulele concert. The soprano acoustic ukuleles which make up the bulk of the ukuleles in our classroom do not project much volume. To solve this problem, I have purchased an amp with my own money which the students use with an acoustic electric tenor ukulele that I also purchased. Since we are soon getting four more acoustic electric ukuleles, I would love to have amps to use with each of them. This way, our students will truly be superstars at our ukulele concert and they will be able to be heard clearly! Please help my marvelous mini musicians rock on!
