My students need 6 dozen league baseballs for our baseball season.
This project expired on February 15, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
It is very difficult to play baseball at a competitive level without league regulated baseballs.
My school is home to students of extreme poverty.
Approximately 95% of our students receive free lunch and 85% live below the poverty line. My students are members of our school's Varsity Boys baseball team. There are not very many opportunities to play organized, competitive sports at our school.
These 6 dozen league baseballs will be used as official game balls and for practice. Baseball is one of only three other sports offered at our school. Supplying equipment to these driven students will encourage them to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle and a sense of team and respect.
These baseballs will make sure that our 35 baseball players will get to practice, get healthy, compete, and foster team work for an entire baseball season.
These four months will lead to permanent and invaluable life lessons. Thank you very much!
