Amazing Young Artists In Need of Essential Art Supplies
My students need glue, charcoal sticks, play doh, pencil sharpeners, erasers, acrylic paint and paint trays to further explore and create beautiful work of art.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My students try their very best to learn the principles and elements of Art. They demonstrate a passion for creating, but lack the materials to accomplish projects.
I'm the new art teacher in an urban/ high poverty area in downtown Indianapolis and my students have limited exposure to art materials.
Having a variety of tools to choose from will assist my students in cultivating their creativity and express themselves in a more positive manor. Unfortunately, They have gotten used to just the basics- crayons, paper...markers if their lucky.
My goal is to teach my pupils to experiment, discover and produce quality art work. The necessary art supplies are needed in order to achieve this goal.
My Project
Play dough is a staple play material in the early childhood classroom. Play-dough provides enjoyable and satisfying experiences for young children, but it is not merely a fun activity. It provides valuable hands-on, active-learning experiences and supports children's growth and learning in many domains. Through this medium I can address early learning standards and observe children'ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs progress in many
areas of development, such as fine-motor skills.
In addition, children also really enjoy painting, and it is a great activity for child development as well. When children paint they are able to experiment and express themselves, which is definitely good for them. Some of the excellent benefits developmentally are color recognition, spatial awareness, hand eye coordination, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.
I'm asking for the necessary supplies for my students to produce amazing art works that can be showcased through out the school.
These pieces will visually impact the overall school environment and boost the morale of the students. Indirectly, promoting positive self esteem and work ethic.
