We are a 4th grade classroom of Shining Stars.
We enter each day with a happy heart and a joy for learning.
I teach in a school which is located in the Pacific Northwest, but have the opportunity to teach students from all around the world. Our school is a learning community for approximately 500 students. We learn daily from each other's unique backgrounds and work together to make an amazing team of learners.
My Project
Often times teaching a child to become a good writer is one of the more difficult things to teach. I am continuously trying to learn new ways of trying to help students flourish in writing and I came upon a new program that I am very eager to assimilate into my current ELA block.
I am working with a program in my classroom that uses mentor sentences to teach students how to improve their writing skills.
These books not only have amazing plots, but also strong detailed sentences that we are going to use to help us improve our own writing. I am very eager to share the great works of these authors!
This amazing collection of books will not only support my current classroom of learners, but benefit many other students for years to come!
