I am currently a kindergarten teacher. There are 25 children in my class. The class contains children with a range of different cultures. My class consists of children who are both general education and ELL learners. There are also children who are pulled out for services such as speech and physical therapy. The children are on all reading levels ranging from A to D. All subject area are taught in my class weekly. The children are eager to learn new things each day and love to read books. It would be greatly appreciated if we can get more books that the children can use on their level(s).
My Project
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
Children will enjoy reading and being able to share and read independently in the classroom and learn new things from these books.
Children need to achieve their goal of reading to at least a level D or E at the end of the school year! Books will enrich their reading and vocabulary skills that will take them to first grade.
