Amazing Mobile STEAM First Grade Learning!
Help me give my students a mobile STEAM library for our unique classroom.
Our elementary school is located in the large city of San Diego, yet due to its petite size and unique location the school feels very friendly and warm. The make-up of the school population is very diverse. Children are from many different cultures, family lifestyles, and backgrounds.
We are a Title 1 school and the students qualify to receive both free breakfast and lunch.
This year's class is full of students who are fun loving, kind, and curious. They are excited to learn about the world and embrace every challenge and new opportunity.
My school has many unique areas on campus for students to explore science, technology, and math along with all the other important content areas such as reading, writing, and art. We have a school garden, a carpeted outdoor library, and other outdoor table areas.
Some of our science and mathematical investigations require us to leave the small space of the classroom and move to larger areas which allow the young scientists and mathematicians room enough space to explore theories and ideas.
If we had a rolling cart filled with books, math, and science materials, we could readily take the learning tools we need to different locations around the school with efficiency. The students will grow academically due to all the fun and creative learning opportunities.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
