I am a Kindergarten teacher to 48 students at a dual language immersion public school. Our school serves 900 students in grades K to 8. My single classroom works hard to serve two large classes per day with a morning and an afternoon session. Any student in Dekalb County, GA can apply for the free public lottery to attend our school.

My Project
As a new teacher at my school I am missing some key classroom supplies that I have added to this list including a low easel for teaching mini lessons. I hope you will consider funding these essential items so we can have them when school begins!
As a teacher new to Kindergarten my main goal for this year will be to really invest in my classroom library.
I have already spent many hours organizing, labeling, leveling and collecting many books on my own for our classroom. I am in desperate need of simple shelving and high quality bins for these books! I am also very low on the kind of 'just right' books my students will need early in the year. Creating a dynamic and beautiful classroom library is critical to engaging new readers! I will focus a lot of energy and effort filling the bins on the list this year with 'just right' books for my students and I appreciate your support!
