My students need 7 Amazon Fire 7 Tablets to increase their reading motivation by having access to eBooks during small group instruction time.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach at a public school where our student population is 99% military. This group of students face very unique home lives and daily challenges. They thrive on consistency and predictability in the classroom, as well as engaging lessons!
My class is full of diverse learners who love to have fun and engage in learning new things!
They like to talk about all the experiences they've had in their lives and find connections with each other. Our class is very fluid because there are students moving in and out all year long. This challenges our classroom community to be welcoming to all who enter each and every day. My students are energetic and very accepting of each other. Their unique lives connect them in and out of the classroom.
Reading is an important, daily activity in our classroom. Students read books by themselves, with a partner, and some have access to reading books online. Many of my students struggle with reading and, therefore, have little desire to read.
By donating to our project, you will be contributing to students having increased engagement and motivation in reading, thus improving their reading achievement!
Students will use these tablets in small group settings with peers at a similar level to them. The groups will read books together and work collaboratively to solve words and think critically about the books they are reading together.
