My Project

One thing we do a ton in kindergarten is read! Each day we spend time sitting together and enjoying a good book. Book choice is important and reflects what we are learning, what we need to revisit, the season, and the interests of the children.

When literature matches the child's interest, either in the subject area or the author, the child will be more engaged and will seek out similar books.

Over the years kindergarten students are drawn to the illustrations and beautiful stories told by Jon Klassen. It is finally time we have them as permanent additions to our library, available for years as each new class begins their kindergarten experience.
