My Students

I have 26 students in my class in Utah. There are 13 girls and 13 boys. The majority of my students are Hispanic or Latino. They are an enthusiastic group of 5th graders. For most of my class, this is the second time I have been their teacher. I taught almost the same group for 3rd grade during the pandemic shutdown. We have a special bond as a group.

My Project

For the last three I taught 2nd and 3rd graders. I had alternative seating for my second and third graders. I am finding that with the change to fifth grade that my alternative seating is a little small for my fifth graders. Not all alternative seating fits all heights of students.

I have students that love alternative seating, but are too tall for my current seating.

Alternative seating helps my students concentrate better during class instruction. I have students that need alternative seating as part of behavior and learning plans.
