My students need flexible seating to stay actively engaged and be comfortable while learning!
This project expired on December 31, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our students are bright, energetic, and ready to learn! Our school is a Title l school where 68% of the students are on free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
Over half of our 850 students are English language learners and in the Dual Language Program.
In this program, students spend 50% of their time at school learning in English, and 50% of their time at school learning in Spanish.
We are distinguished as a No Excuses University School and we take pride in encouraging our students to plan and work toward continuing their education after High School!
The flexible seating will help students be in control of their learning and give them an opportunity to engage in full effect! It positively affects their learning in such an uplifting way that it encourages students to be relaxed and focused while learning among their peers. The bouncing balls will be greatly used for increasing focus and attention for learners that need to move while learning.
Flexible seating will provide a fun, outstanding atmosphere for my 2nd graders!
The lower table with chairs can be used for reading buddies or small group with the teacher. They can benefit from it by feeling comfortable and lowering their affective filters while learning a second language.
