My students are the most eager to learn kiddos on the planet! Unfortunately, we are in a low-income district, with the majority of my students getting free breakfast and lunch, many are enrolled in our backpack program that provides food, and we even have many that are homeless. My students range from Kindergarteners to 4th graders, so they are as different in learning styles as possible! Even with the financial issues that many of them face, they are all amazing and eager learners!
My Project
As an adult with back issues, sitting in a hard plastic chair would be painful. That being said, why do we expect little kids to sit in the same seats! I have brought many different types of chairs into the music room, but I am looking to add a few more, starting with these seats. I am looking to be all set and ready to go when we get back to school next school year, and having these seats will help!
Whether it's a beanbag, a wobble seat, these ball chairs, or even a fun colored carpet, letting kids choose where they sit in music class will help keep their attention.
