Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a high violence, low income environment. Many of the parents work 2 jobs to make ends meet. Many of these kids are latchkey kids that go home to an empty house. They often only have the one meal that the state provides for them.My students are hard working and eager to learn. It is challenging for them to bring in teacher requested items. Earbuds will enhance their listening skills during computer assignments and tests. Please help out.
My Project
Movement throughout the day allows the students to be alert and to pay more attention throughout the day. The stools allow students to use their body's balance and movement to send signals of alertness to the brain.
With the instability of the balance balls, students are forced to engage their core muscles in order to remain seated.
Balance balls and stools will allow students to feel less fidgety and more relaxed.
Not only do students learn in different ways, students also require a variety of different seating options to help them concentrate in class. Alternative seating is helpful for concentration.
