My Students

Next year will be my seventh year teaching 5th grade and I will have a class of at least 28 wonderful students with very different learning styles and needs. They are full of life, eager to please, and motivated by movement and energy releasing activities. This group of students needs a little extra support to continue to grow into independent problem solvers in their learning environment. I am very excited to have a new group of learners ready to learn!

My Project

It is important to provide students with options and choices within their learning environment. The stability balls will offer opportunities for slight movement, expel excess energy, and improve students overall focus and performance. The lap desks will allow students an additional work space option when not seated at their desk.

Allowing students to take ownership of their work space will increase attention and focus in the classroom.

The stability balls and lap desks will offer options for students to use instead of traditional desks and chairs during a school day. Providing my students with these resources will help build more attentive learners which will ultimately benefit their academic success.
