Alternative Classroom Seating Means Comfort and Focus for Students
Help me give my students alternative choices for seating. The adjustable table will give students an option of floor seating while still working in groups. While the vidget chair will allow students to sit at higher tables.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom have different ways and movements that they need to learn. The seating in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies including group work and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met as best we can.
I have students in my classroom who need to rock constantly or have some kind of movement so that they can focus on what they are doing.
Some students prefer to sit in softer seating while some are fine sitting in normal classroom chairs.
My Project
Flexible seating can help students take charge of their learning and make a choice that work best for them. Students will be able to focus on the academic material and not worry about how uncomfortable they are in their seat.
The different options I have selected will give students more effective learning choices.
The table is adjustable so there will be floor options as well as seating at higher tables. The wiggle seat can be used on the floor or in a regular chair.
My students have shown when they are given a choice of where to sit they are more engaged in their work and less disruptive.
